We have structured the resources so that users can work through them in different ways depending on their needs. For example, you might want to:

• as a reflection/professional development tool for reflecting on your role as a school leader in supporting teacher resilience
• as a scaffold for supporting other staff with particular areas of their practice
• as reflection tool within INSET sessions or staff/SLT meetings to identify ways to further support resilience at a whole school level

We have developed some slide decks which can be downloaded and adapted for use in INSET sessions and meetings. The slide decks are designed to scaffold the process illustrated in the figure below.

The first slide deck introduces the EASiER toolkit and the research that underpins it. It also provides activities that can be carried out with groups of staff (e.g. in a whole school meeting/INSET session) to map out current strengths and potential areas for development in terms of promoting teacher resilience in school.

Following this initial mapping exercise, leadership teams can select slide-decks to use in follow-up meetings, allowing them to explore areas of development in further depth. In other words, the slide decks are designed to be used in a pick-and-mix fashion informed by the initial mapping session.

All currently available slide decks can be found here. Further slide decks corresponding to other factors influencing teacher resilience will be added by 31st October 2026. An alert will be sent out to all toolkit subscribers when this new content has been released.

The EASiER toolkit is free to use. When you enter the main body of the toolkit at the bottom of this page, you will be asked to enter your name and email address. This is so that we can gain a sense of how the toolkit is being used. We will contact you occasionally to provide updates on new content and to ask for feedback to further develop the toolkit.
